Zimná Noc Architektúry sa uskutoční vo štvrtok, 14.2.2019 od 17.00
v priestoroch Fakulty Architektúry STU v Bratislave.

16.edícia Noci sa uskutoční na začiatku letného semestra na Fakulte architektúry a v roku
2019 tento dátum padol práve na deň zamilovaných.

Noc architektúry je multižánrová platforma poskytujúca náhľad do centra diania na FA
STU. Večerná udalosť, kedy sa celá budova fakulty zmení na galériu plnú vystavených
ateliérových prác študentov a to s ambíciou ukázať odbornej a širokej verejnosti
výsledky tvorby veľkého spektra projektov vytvorených za posledný semester.
CENA CHEDDAR
Aj tento rok budú hodnotené všetky vystavené ateliérové práce z posledného
semestra. Najlepšie projekty v kategóriách - architektúra, urbanizmus a dizajn
vyhodnotí nezávislá porota zložená z odborníkov zo slovenskej, ale aj zahraničnej
praxe v pokračovaní už tradičnej študentskej ceny CHEDDAR.
PROGRAM
14. február je magický dátum, ktorý si všetci užijeme v znamení spoločného puta k
architektúre a dizajnu. Noc sa deje vďaka tomu, že nás všetkých spája istá
vášeň, či už k tvorbe, alebo vnímaniu a sprostredkovávaniu architektúry a dizajnu.
Jednými z týchto ľudí sú aj hostia 15 minútoviek, ako napríklad klad SPOLKA (KE) -
kolektív architektiek a sociologičiek, ktoré nám predstavia projekty ako Plán pre
Košice, Mestoláska alebo iné aktivity zaoberajúce sa urbanizmom a angažovaním
verejnosti do tvorby miest. Projekt Brnenský Architektonický Manuál nám zase
odprezentuje interaktívny spôsob pre všetkých záujemcov spoznávania
a navštevovania architektúry mesta.
DESIGN
Pre milovníkov designu Design-Stuba pripravuje 15-minútovky Ateliérové
spolupráce s praxou (CURAPROX), a pravidelný formát komunitných meetupov
Service Design Drinks #4 s témou Prečo potrebujú lepšie služby komunitu.
V priestoroch rekonštruovanej kotolni sa okrem výstavy dizajnérskych prác uskutoční
populárna tradičná platforma Pechtle Mechtle – s témou DESIGN STUBA Success
Stories, kde sa predstavia úspešní absolventi Ústavu dizajnu, ktorí sa uplatnili v
automobilovom priemysle.
Na tohtoročnej Noci architektúry si budeme môcť pozrieť aj výstavu Cena Dekana, kde
sa cez porotu zloženú z pedagógov Fakulty architektúry vybrali nominácie a víťaz za
najlepší ateliérový projekt predošlého akademického roku 2017 / 2018.
MVRDV
Hlavným bodom programu Noci Architektúry bude prednáška holandského
architektonického ateliéru MVRDV. Zastupovať ho bude Jan Knikker – jeden z
partnerov hlavnej – Rotterdamskej pobočky ateliéru.
Jan Knikker sa pripojil k MVRDV v roku 2008, svojou predchádzajúcou novinárskou
kariérou formoval takmer desaťročie verejný obraz svetového ateliéru OMA. Súčasne
sa zameriava na vedenie v oblasti obchodného rozvoja a PR. Jednou z jeho
najnovších publikácií je kniha MVRDV Buildings. Práve jeho zásluhou sa svetová
architektonická kancelária s pobočkami v Rotterdame, Paríži a Shanghai rýchlo
rozširuje na nové trhy a zameriava sa tak na nadčasové riešenia globálnych problémov
prostredníctvom architektúry a urbanizmu.
MVRDV založili v roku 1993 Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs a Nathalie de Vries v
Rotterdame v Holandsku. Táto prax sa celosvetovo zaoberá riešením súčasných
architektonických a urbanistických problémov. Vysoko spolupracujúca metóda návrhu
založená na rozsiahlom výskume zahŕňa klientov, zainteresované strany a odborníkov
z mnohých oblastí od začiatku tvorivého procesu. Výsledkom sú jedinečné,
kontextuálne projekty, ktoré umožňujú našim mestám a krajinám rozvoj k lepšej
budúcnosti.
AFTERPARTY
A ako už býva tradíciou - Noc býva pre architektov nekonečná, preto bude na fakulte
sprevádzaná hudobným programom mladej dvojice Jalovec a Čičman, ktorý sa
neskôr presunie na afterpárty do centra starého mesta v priestoroch
Fuga x Bukowski a to v zastúpení "DJ´s battle" formátu Clash of architects v zostave
VSA vs. Gutgut.

The 16th edition of Night of Architecture will take place at the beginning of the summer
semester at the Faculty of Architecture. This time, the date falls on the day of the romance
and lovers.

Night of Architecture is a multi-genre platform that provides a preview of the core of
education and events at FA STU. Evening event, when the whole building of the faculty
turns into a gallery full of studio works, with the ambition to show professional and
broad public the results of the creation of wide range of projects produced during the
last semester.
CHEDDAR PRIZE
This year, all works from the last semester will be evaluated in the continuation of the
traditional students’ CHEDDAR Prize. The best projects in the categories -
architecture, urbanism and design will be evaluated by an independent jury composed
of professional architects and designers from Slovak and foreign countries.
THE PROGRAMME
February 14th is a magical date that we all enjoy as a sign of a common bond for
architecture and design. The night is happening due to the fact that all of us have a
certain passion, whether to create, or perceive and mediate architecture. One of these
people are also 15-minutes lectures guests, such as SPOLKA (Košice) - a collective of
architects and sociologists who will present us projects such as the Plan for Kosice,
Mesto-láska (Citylove) and other activities dealing with urbanism and engaging the
public in the city planning. Project Brno Architecture Manual presents an interactive
way for all those interested in getting to know the architecture of the city better.
DESIGN
For passionate designers, DESIGN-STUBA is preparing 15-minutes lecture School’s
studio works in cooperation with practice CURAPROX, and a community talk
platform called Service Design Drinks # 4 with the topic Why do better services
need a community. In the reconstructed boiler room, besides the exhibition of design
works, will be presented the popular traditional platform Pechtle Mechtle - DESIGN
STUBA Success Stories - featuring successful graduates of the Design Institute who
have applied in the automobile industry.
At this year's Night of Architecture we will also see the exhibition of The Dean’s
Prize, where the jury consisted of academic staff and tutors of Faculty of Architecture
evaluated nominations and the winner for the best project of the previous academic
year of 2017/2018.
MVRDV
The main point of the Night of Architecture program will be a lecture by the Dutch
architectural studio MVRDV. Represented by Jan Knikker - one of the partners of the
studio’s main branch in Rotterdam.
Jan Knikker joined MVRDV in 2008, starting his career as a journalist he then shaped
the public image of OMA for nearly a decade. As Partner at MVRDV, Jan leads the
Business Development and Public Relations efforts, forming a client oriented, fast and
strategic department which now also includes a strong visualisation team. He has been
working on many publications and exhibitions, one of his latest publications was the
book MVRDV Buildings. MVRDV is rapidly expanding into new markets and focuses on
solutions for global issues through its architecture and urbanism. Jan also lectures
internationally, writes for various publications, ran an online design magazine called
Dafne, and was from 2007 to 2011 member of the International Projects commission of
the Netherlands Architecture Funds.
MVRDV was founded in 1993 by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries in
Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The practice engages globally in providing solutions to
contemporary architectural and urban issues. A highly collaborative, research-based
design method involves clients, stakeholders and experts from a wide range of fields
from early on in the creative process. The results are exemplary, outspoken projects,
which enable our cities and landscapes to develop towards a better future.
AFTERPARTY
And as it is a tradition - the Night is endless for architects, the school will be
accompanied by a music program of DJ’s Jalovec & Čičman, who later moved to the
afterparty to the center of the old town in the premises of Fuga x Bukowski,
represented by "DJ's battle" format Clash of architects in the VSA vs. Gutgut.
